Toolmaker

Join an impressive team producing quality plastic injection moulds, press tooling, fixtures and a variety of custom components. You’ll also be involved in the repair, modification and servicing of injection mould tools, jigs and fixtures, requiring excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work.

In a nut shell, you’ll be:

  • Building moulds to specifications,
  • Maintaining and servicing moulds,
  • Cutting and shaping parts using lathes, presses, grinders, milling and cutting machines, some of which are computer controlled ,
  • Studying sketches, models, blueprints and specifications to plan operation sequences for fabricating tools, assemblies and moulds, and
  • Executing test runs with finished tools or dies to ensure components attain parameters, and adapting as necessary

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Hands on toolmaking abilities,
  • Strong communication skills, meaning you’re effective working with colleagues on aspects of activities and practical/technical problem solving,
  • Sound attention to detail,
  • And you are great at keeping focused and delivering to timeframes.
